Iowa Senator for District 12 Amy Sinclair says one committee that she is on continues to be a main focus.

Sinclair tells Raccoon Valley Radio that there are a few bills coming up through the Education Committee.

“In addition to the School Funding and the Deregulation (Bill), there’s a Teacher Recruitment and Retention Bill that I’m excited to see getting work done. I think it’s important, just like any of the workforce issues, the other workforce bill that I mentioned. I think getting people into the workforce, eliminating some of those barriers in the workforce, and helping get alternatives to how we prepare and train people, I think are really good options. So, that there’s a Teacher Recruitment and Retention Bill that’s specific to teachers, that I think, is a great thing to look at as well.”

Besides being Chair of Government Oversight and sitting on the Education Committee, Sinclair also serves as Vice Chair for the Rules and Administration Committee.
