The Stuart Library Foundation has awarded its International Travel Scholarships for the year.
Foundation Member Russ Wagner says that one of the awardees is heading to the Greek Isles, and will be in the mediterranean area for about a week. He mentions that the awardee’s father was so excited that she got the scholarship, that he is paying his own way and going with her.
Wagner mentions what the second awardee is doing with her scholarship.
“The second participant was chosen. She’s going solo, but she is going with a group, and it’s a tour group. And she will be in six to eight different countries starting in Northern Europe, (and) going down to Southern Europe. I mean, it’s like 12-14 days.”
Wagner advises that for those looking at applying for the scholarship in the future, joining a group or applying with a second person is recommended, because the Foundation feels that it’s safer to not go alone.
