A trio of Class 1A wrestlers from the Raccoon Valley Radio listening area advanced to Friday’s semifinals at the State Tournament inside Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines. Teagan Slaybaugh of ACGC, Kolton Munson of Ogden, and Ryan Stiles of Earlham have guaranteed themselves top six place finishes and still have State title aspirations.

Slaybaugh at 120 lbs. won a 6-1 decision in the Thursday morning quarterfinals. Munson won 9-3 in the q’finals at 126, and Stiles won a 16-4 major decision.

Area wrestlers still going on the consolation side of the bracket on Friday include Dallas Canoyer (106) and Payton Harger (126) of Earlham, Payton Jacobe (285) ACGC, Blaise Beane (152) and Kaedon Lindsey (170) of West Central Valley, Kinnick Munson (113) and David Hammer (285) from Ogden, plus Ashton Honnold (195) of Nodaway Valley.
