The Dallas County Conservation Board will have a program telling stories of Dallas County pioneer times this weekend
“Iowa Pioneers ” program is sponsored by the conservation board and will be held at the Forest Park Museum in Perry from 1:30 to 2:30pm Sunday. Museum Curator Pete Malmberg will be telling age appropriate stories of early Dallas County settlers. Malmberg talks more about this program.
“The local pioneer history stories. Guys like Adam Vineage, who was a really very handsome, kind of a dashing, early pioneer down in the Minburn area, had a lot of misfortune. So we’ll get into some stuff about the Groot family. Several other early pioneer settlers. Some crazy stories about Minburn’s first doctor, just some fun stuff like that.”
Registration is encouraged to be notified if the event gets canceled due to weather conditions.
