The AC/GC Chargers boys basketball team is advancing to the Sub-State Finals. The Chargers faced off against the Coon Rapids-Bayard Crusaders Tuesday night, as both teams traveled to Des Moines Hoover High School to play on neutral territory. The Chargers and Crusaders kept things close in the first quarter, with the Chargers only leading 16-12, before they kicked things up a notch in the second, outscoring the Crusaders 25-10 to go into the second half leading 41-22.

The Crusaders outscored the Chargers in the third 12-11, but AC/GC kept the lead and went into the final quarter up 52-34. A heavy scoring performance by the starters led the Chargers to outscore the Crusaders again, this time 15-8. AC/GC came out on top with the 67-42 victory, and advances to the Sub-State Finals on Saturday, when they face off against the Grand View Christian Thunder.
