The 2022-23 high school boys’ basketball season for the Greene County Rams included 10 wins and 13 losses. Coach Chris Nelson’s team went 7-7 in the Heart of Iowa Activities Conference, good for third place among the eight conference teams.

The leading scorer on the team was senior Richard Daugherty with 395 points. He averaged 17.95 points per game this season in 22 contests. His 1,082 career varsity points rank third in the 12 seasons the Rams have played as Greene County behind Trey Tucker and Trey Hinote.

Senior Jesse Miller averaged 12.66 points with junior Gabe Ebersole at 10, and junior Brynley Ruzicka 7.8. Everyone else averaged less than four points per contest, expect junior Nathan Behne at 5.6 per game, but he played in just five games due to a December knee injury and subsequent season ending surgery.
