The Iowa Energy Center Board  approved financial assistance awards to four projects through the Energy Infrastructure Revolving Loan Program (EIRLP) and that included Dallas County. 

The Energy Infrastructure Revolving Loan Program (EIRLP) provides low-interest loans for energy infrastructure projects that facilitate electricity or gas generation, transmission, storage and distribution. The Red Lion Dallas Center LLC was awarded a grant of $323,000 to work with the city of Dallas Center with plans to complete a solar project that will add solar arrays to 10 city-owned facilities and integrate a solar canopy along the Raccoon River Valley Bike Trail. The minimum grant awarded from the EIRLP was $50,000 and the maximum was $2.5 million.
