The Perry Police Department responded to a vehicle that crashed into a home early Thursday morning.

Perry Police Chief Eric Vaughn says officers received a 911 call about the incident at 12:20am at 715 5th Street. During the investigation Vaughn tells Raccoon Valley Radio they believe a 2016 Dodge Charger was traveling west on Iowa Street and the 17-year-old driver allegedly drove through the T intersection with 5th Street and crashed into the residence. The teen was arrested and charged with an OWI. A passenger in the vehicle suffered minor injuries and was taken to Dallas County Hospital. There were two occupants inside the home at the time of the crash and they were not injured.
