Wednesday, March 8th
1:28am: An officer located an Open Door at 600 East Lincoln Way Street. The building was secured by the officer.
11:00am: Hy Vee reported two separate Thefts by a known female. They had occurred on February 26th and March 2nd, 2023. The subject was not scanning all items at the Self-Checkout. The loss is over $300.00. The officer is investigating.
12:24pm: An officer responded to 1216 Westwood Drive, after dispatch received a Medical Alarm from the resident. The officer made contact with the subject, who was fine and had accidentally hit her pendant.
1:45pm: A Traffic Stop in the 400 Block of South Grimmell Road resulted in Crystal Jordon of Churdan being cited for, “Dark Windows.”
3:47pm: A Traffic Stop in the 500 Block of West Central Ave. resulted in Magenta Pedersen of Dana being charged with, “Excessive Speed.”
7:26pm: A caller advised a subject was at the apartments in the 1000 Block of West Adams Street, and was banned from being there. The officer made contact with the renter in the apartment in question and they advised the subject had not been there. They consented to the officer checking inside the apartment. No one was located.
Thursday, March 9th
7:54am: Sparky’s One Stop requested an officer at 606 Hwy. 30 East, for an upset customer. The business and the subject had worked out the issue before the officer arrived.
8:40am: An officer investigated a Backing Accident at 1512 Westwood Drive.
8:49am: Tanisha Rice reported (3) Stray Dogs near Madison and Walnut Streets. The officer did not locate the reported animals.
9:16am: A caller advised of a transient carrying bags near 220th and Elm Streets. The officer spoke with the subject, who advised he did not need any help.
3:21pm: Regency Park reported an incident, which had occurred in the Alzheimer’s Unit. State law requires the incident to be reported to law enforcement. The officer will not be investigating.
4:10pm: An officer checked 306 South Vine after dispatch had received a few 911 Hang Up Calls. Children were playing with a phone.
4:43pm: A Traffic Stop in the 1400 Block of North Grimmell Road resulted in Steven Hopkins of Boone being cited for, “Excessive Speed, Fail to Provide Proof of Financial Liability, and Operation without Registration.”
