Adair County Health Systems (ACHS) recently welcomed a new provider to their staff.

Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) Sarah Brown is originally from Thayer, and says she came to ACHS because rural healthcare is her calling. She adds that being at ACHS allows her to stay close to home and take care of those that need her.

Brown received her registered nurse (RN) degree at Southwestern Community College, and continued her education at the University of Iowa, acquiring her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and has been a Nurse Practitioner since 2006. Brown will be at ACHS every Wednesday for a 24-hour shift in the emergency room.
