A non-profit organization will host a concert for the public to enjoy.
The Perry Fine Arts have asked Red Cedar Chamber Music to put on a concert at 2pm on Sunday at the Perry Performing Arts Center. They will explore the physics of sound written only in harmonics, the relationship of color and texture in music and visual art through an inspired piece. Red Cedar’s core ensemble members are violinist Miera Kim and cellist Carey Bostian but they have invited Alex Norris and Donhee Han to play with them in a program of string quartet music. Chair of the Perry Fine Arts Series Cathy Clark talks more about this March concert.
“Well, for one they’re a very excellent group. It is classical chamber music. We try to promote every different kind of music throughout our different seasons. We’ve had jazz, we’ve had opera, we’ve had country, we have had rock n roll. So it just seemed natural that we include chamber music.”
The event is free and open to the public with no ticket necessary but Perry Fine Arts will ask for a free will donation.
