The Iowa Department of Natural Resources will be hosting several hikes this weekend.

Today Interpretive Naturalist and Educator Anne Riordan will be conducting a hike at Springbrook State Park. Interested individuals will need to meet up at the Campground Gazebo by 1pm, and the hike will last until 3pm. The purpose of the hike is to look for signs that the plants and animals in the park are ready for spring.

The hike is free and open to the public. Riordan advises participants to wear comfortable clothing and footwear.
