Greene County plays high school golf and soccer today. The girls’ golf squad is at The Hill west of Grand Junction hosting three other teams in a 4 p.m. quadrangular while the boys play golf at Perry with the Blue Jays and Des Moines Christian at 4 o’clock.

In soccer, it’s Greene County and Carroll High. The girls play in Carroll and the boys at Karber Field in Grand Junction. Coach Maribel Hernandez’ girls’ team is 0-3, but two of the losses were by one goal, and the Rams have three goals so far after scoring just four times all of last season. Coach Carl Behne’s boys are 2-0 with six goals scored in both of the first two outings. The Tigers are 0-2 in girls’ soccer after a pair of 10-0 losses to Harlan Community and Bondurant-Farrar, and the boys are 1-1 with a win vs. Atlantic and a loss to B-F.
