With spring and the warmer weather that comes with the season, it’s time to look at preserving hard grown foods. 

Iowa State University Extension and Dallas County Extension and Outreach is offering an in-person workshop to help prepare people for preserving their home grown produce. The “Preserving the Taste of Summer 101” class will instruct on canning, freezing and drying foods and give up-to-date resources.

The free course will be from  6 to 7:30pm on April 13th. While the course is free to attend, registration is required.
