Perry Economic Development in partnership with the Guthrie County Rural Electric Cooperative is building a five-megawatt electrical transformer substation on the southwest corner of the Perry Industrial Park.
The new substation will be named “Bluejay Substation,” and it will provide the necessary infrastructure to support future business expansions to the area. The substation will allow Guthrie County REC to serve a larger electrical load and provide better voltage to businesses nearby. It will also provide Guthrie County REC members with an additional backup power source. The Perry Industrial Park is located off Highway 141 at the eastern edge of Perry which comprises 151 acres of land.
