Last weekend the Guthrie County Iowa State University Extension and Outreach hosted their annual Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) Fest, and saw great success.
Extension Youth Coordinator Laura Larson said that the event was a huge success, with great turnout from the community. She mentioned that there were fun hands-on activities, and several children were introduced to potential career paths. There was a count of around 300 individuals total that went to the event, with multiple school districts having students in attendance, and several door prizes were handed out.
