There is track & field, girls’ golf, and boys’ soccer, on the Greene County High School sports schedule today. Some of the best weather of the season is on tap today, which could transfer to good performances.
The 3-0 boys’ soccer team hosts Ballard (Huxley) at Karber Field in Grand Junction for JV/varsity action. Coach Carl Behne’s Rams have out scored their first three opponents by a 15-2 margin with two shut outs.
Coach Heath Telleen is expecting to have a full team, or close to it, for the first time this season when his girls’ squad plays at Riverbend Golf Course vs. Roland-Story (Story City).
Coach Derek Merk’s girls and Chad Morton’s boys both compete at Carroll Athletic Field in track & field at the Carroll Coed Meet. The cutoff for Drake Relays qualification is competitions on April 20 with submissions by 8 a.m. on April 21.
