Starting next week, a fun and educational attraction will make its way to Stuart.

Stuart Public Library Director Lisa Sherman tells Raccoon Valley Radio that the Iowa History 101 Mobile Museum will be across from the library in the parking lot of the Miller Plumbing and Heating building, and will have many historical objects.

“Some are maybe from the (19)70’s and they go all the way back to 13,000 years ago. Some of those items will be projectile points. When I heard that, I’m thinking that it’s something that was made for a spear, maybe arrows.”

Sherman adds that there are over 50 artifacts from varying times in Iowa’s past, and that the mobile museum will be in Stuart from April 29th to May 2nd. She mentions that volunteer’s from the community will be available to let people onto the mobile museum during library hours those days, and that all Guthrie County residents are invited to come and enjoy the attraction free of charge.
