The Perry Public Library will kick off National Libraries Week today.

The Library will have a special art workshop from 1 to 2pm with Seth Anderson from the Atelier 1109. The class will be a combination of collage and relief print to create impressions or expressions of the community library. The process involves collaging elements of books, newspapers, and magazines and overlaying relief prints to create a story. The event will be free with materials provided by the Atelier 1109. No registration is required and this event is geared towards teens and adults.

Also there will be a special children’s craft from 1 to 2pm at the library. The craft will coincide with the workshop for teens and adults. This is a free community event. No registration is required. For more information, contact the Library at 515-465-3569 or visit www.perry.lib.ia.us.
