This weekend the Adair – Casey / Guthrie Center High School Music Department will be performing their spring musical.

Vocal Director Kelsey Dinkla says that the students will be performing “Into the Woods,” a Broadway musical that she saw last summer, and thought would be fun to perform. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio what the show is about.

“We are very excited to welcome all of our audience members to the ‘woods.’ We have a great cast and crew and pit of people that have been working since the beginning of February. And this story is kind of a conglomeration of all the fairy tales that you probably grew up knowing about, and how they all come together in the woods and have to kind of work through the consequences of what it’s like after their wishes come true.”

Showtimes are at 7pm Friday and Saturday, and on Sunday a matinee performance will be at 2pm. Admission is $8 for adults and $5 for students, with the auditorium doors to open about 30 minutes before showtime. She invites any and all individuals that may be interested to come and see the results of the hard work the students put in.
