Perry High School has been recently named an American College Application Campaign 2022 School of Excellence award winner for its efforts at leading students toward postsecondary educational success.

The American College Application Campaign (ACAC) is a national effort to increase the number of first-generation college students and students from low-income families pursuing higher education. Perry High School was the only school selected in Iowa for this excellence award. Perry Community Schools Superintendent Clark Wicks talks about the significance of this award.

“With our high school, the counselors, the teachers. This is something that we can all be proud of because if you think about that first generation going on to college and hopefully keeping the ball going in their particular families is a huge asset to our society and very proud of our Perry High School and this fine award.”

The ACAC only selected 23 schools around the nation out of the 959,545 applications they received.
