The Perry varsity baseball team reported for the first practice of the season Monday at a windy Progressive Field. 21 boys arrived for the first outdoor practice of the year, ranging in age from freshman through senior level. Michael Craig returns to guide the varsity program after a 1-21 season last summer. Perry went 0-25 in 2021 but is optimistic they can turn things around. The Bluejays return eight starters off last year’s squad.
Perry opens up the season a week earlier with a May 15th road trip to Grandview Baptist.
