Jefferson Rotary Club recently made donations in support of literacy.
Jefferson Rotary gave books to 69 two to five years old in April with the return to the in-person Toddler Fest that was sponsored by the Greene County Libraries Association and the Greene County Board of Supervisors. Jefferson Rotarians read stories with their campfire station and each child got to select a free book to take home, courtesy of Scholastic Books through the Greene County School District and funding from their annual charity auction.

Additionally, Jefferson Rotary also donated children’s books at the Rotary District 6000 Conference in Carroll and the Greene County Action Resource Center. Local food pantry volunteers will be able to give one or two books with food that goes home with families that have young children, which average about 50 families per month.
