The Chargers track and field teams were in action Tuesday night, as both teams competed in the conference meet in Earlham. The boys team took 3rd place overall, with 114 points. Austin Kunkle took 1st place in the 100m dash, then repeated the performance in the 200m dash. Brexton Schneider took 6th place in the 110m hurdles, while Kunkle finished his running events with a second place finish in the 400m dash.

Tate Fever took 3rd in the 400m hurdles with a time of 59.4 seconds, while Justin Reinhart and Andrew Mahaffey placed in the 1600m in 4th and 6th respectively, and Reinhart also took 4th in the 3200m. In relay events, the team took 8th in the sprint medley, 3rd in the 4x100m, 5th in the 4x200m, 3rd in the shuttle hurdle, 7th in the 4x400m, 5th in the 4x800m and 8th in the distance medley.

In field events, Mike Fuller and Mason Wahl took 4th and 8th places respectively in the discus, while Lance Bunde and Treyton Schneider took 1st and 8th respectively in the high jump. Austin Kunkle and Bunde placed 4th and 6th respectively in the long jump, while Payton Jacobe and Mike Fuller secured 1st and 3rd respectively in the shot put.

The girls placed 11th overall, with a team score of 34 points. Saige O’Brien took 5th in the 110 hurdles, while Ava Campbell and Hayden Coffman grabbed 2nd and 7th places respectively in the 800m run, with Campbell also securing 4th place in the 1500m run. In relay events, the team took 6th in the 110m hurdles, 4th in the 4x800m and 5th in the distance medley, while Becca Littler and Caydence Boals grabbed 7th and 8th places respectively in the shot put.
