The Perry boy’s soccer team seems to be peaking at the right time thanks in large part to getting some key varsity players back from various injuries and absences.  The talent was on full display last night as Perry defeated Van Meter 4-0 in the annual Stomp Out Cancer night.  Jacob Cerna scored the first goal at the four minute mark to give the Bluejays a 1-0 lead.  Anthony Chavez followed with a goal ten minutes later to give the Bluejays a 2-0 halftime lead.  Jonathan Vanuelos added a goal and assist in the second half while Chavez sealed the victory with a late goal to give the Dewey Field crowd plenty to cheer about.

Perry was strong this past weekend as well, winning two of three games at the Nevada Tournament.  Perry lost to Regina 1-0 in a tight battle, before defeating Greene County 3-1 and Carroll Kuemper 9-0.

Perry has now won three straight games and jumps to 8-6 on the season and will host Gilbert Thursday night for Senior night.
