The Iowa Department of Health and Human Services will stop by a local library for a special community program focusing on memory loss.
The Perry Public Library will host Greg Woods from Iowa HHS who will give a presentation with a focal point on diseases like Alzheimer’s and dementia from 1 to 2pm tomorrow in the library community room. Adult Services Librarian Mindy Farmer goes over the details.
“This program has been very well received in other communities. It highlights the growing focus of Alzheimer’s and dementia in public health. What causes memory loss? What the latest research shows in our fight against these conditions. What can be done to decrease one’s risk? What resources exist and what I, Department of Health and Human Services, is doing to help?”
This program is free and open to the public and no registration is required.
