Two Greene County wrestlers from Sebolt Wrestling Academy in Jefferson captured Iowa USA Wrestling Freestyle State Tournament titles last weekend at Southeast Polk High School. Johnathan Thompson won the 14U Boys 71 lbs. weight class and McKinley Robbins placed first at 145 lbs. for Junior Boys.

Thompson won his matches by 10-0 technical fall and 12-0 technical fall. He’s a sixth grader at Greene County middle school.

Robbins will be graduating later this month from Greene County High School. He won by 10-0 technical fall in his title match. McKinley will be attending Oregon State University and will be joining the Beavers’ wrestling team.
