Next week the Guthrie County Iowa State University Extension and Outreach is holding a fun plant themed class.
Extension Youth Development Coordinator Laura Larson says that there will be a hydroponics workshop on May 20th starting at 10am, with Early Morning Harvest in Panora being kind enough to show off their system as well. Those interested in attending will also be able to assemble container gardens using what is learned. Larson tells Raccoon Valley Radio that after a personal visit to Early Morning Harvest, she saw how sharing information on how the systems work could benefit and interest county residents. Pre-registration for the event is set to end May 17th. For those that want to attend there is a 5$ fee per garden container.
