The school districts in Guthrie County are busy with final track performances this week, as all three schools sent athletes to the state meet in both boys and girls events.
Adair – Casey / Guthrie Center has the most events making it to the meet, with 13 total. The boys are sending 10 events to the state meet, with athletes to compete in the 100m dash, 200m dash, 1600m run, 3200m run, shot put, high jump, 4x800m relay, 4x200m relay, shuttle hurdle relay and 4x100m relay, and the girls team is sending runners for three events, including the 800m run, 1500m run and 4x800m relay.
West Central Valley has a total of eight events that they are competing in starting today.
The boys team has athletes in four events, including the 400m dash, 4x100m relay, 4x200m relay and 4x400m relay and the girls team sending athletes in four events as well, including the 100m dash, the 200m dash, the long jump and the 4x200m relay.
Panorama has six events that they are competing in, with the girls team competing in the 100m dash, 200m dash, 400m run and high jump, and the boys team is sending athletes for two events, including the 400m run and high jump. A list of event times and athlete names can be found below.
