Dallas Center-Grimes boys soccer takes a step closer to playing at the Crowning Complex in Des Moines.

The Mustangs Advance past Indianola in the Class 3A Region 7 sub state bracket on Monday in Grimes. The first goal came early from freshman Colin Mandernach’s cross to junior AJ Angus at the 22 minute mark in the 1st half. Junior Ben Jackson scored two goals and senior Konnor May scored his first goal of the season in the second half.

Now the Mustangs will play in the sub state championship game against Lewis Central and the winner will move on to the state tournament. DCG has not been to the state tournament since the 2020-21 season.
