Dallas Center-Grimes baseball and softball both collected victories on a Tuesday night.

The Mustang baseball team took on the Waukee Warriors. They got off to a hot start with a five run first inning and they carried that momentum to a 10-4 victory. Junior Keaton Fenn grabbed the win as the starting pitching going 4.1 innings, striking out five while only giving up four earned runs. Junior Dayne Mauk came up with some big hits going 2-for-4 with two runs batted in. Mustangs improve to (4-2) 0n the season and will travel to Waukee Northwest for a doubleheader on Thursday.

The Mustang softball team accumulated their second win of the season when they took on Fort Dodge on the road. Junior Audrey Johansen grabbed the win and went the distance as the starting pitcher. Johansen  pitched seven innings while striking out four and giving up three earned runs. Junior Lydia Zaruba had multiple hits and one RBI. The final score was 6 to 3 and DC-Grimes improves to (2-0). Their next game will be their home opener on Thursday against Waukee.
