The Guthrie County Iowa State University Extension and Outreach will be holding a mental health help class this week.
“Question. Persuade. Refer.” is a suicide prevention program for agriculture professionals. The extension will have the training on Thursday at 5pm, and does ask interested individuals to register, using the link below. Just as those trained for CPR and the heimlich maneuver are able to save lives every year, those that are trained in QPR learn to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis. The training will take place at the Extension Office on State Street.
