Tomorrow is the Iowa High School Musical Theatre Awards Finale Medley Showcase, and Adair – Casey / Guthrie Center will be represented in the performance.

Students Owen Dinkla and Brennan Pederson will be performing with other Iowa students on the Des Moines Civic Center stage tomorrow night at 7pm. This comes after the AC/GC Theatre Department won several awards for their rendition of “Into the Woods” as their school musical this year. Dinkla tells Raccoon Valley Radio how it feels to be chosen to participate in the IHSMTA Showcase .

“So me and Brennan were picked to go to represent us in the finale, and our preparation isn’t as complex as the Triple Threat, but I have never performed on that stage ever. And I’m just really excited to be able to do that.”

More than 80 schools had the chance to send students to perform in the Finale Medley, and they all were able to work under the direction of a guest music director and choreographer from New York City.
