The Jefferson Fire Department is currently underway with a fundraiser.

Fire Chief Jack Williams says they are raffling off two $500 gift cards, one to Jefferson Fareway and the other to Jefferson Hy-Vee. Raffle tickets are $5 each and can be purchased from any firefighter or at the pancake breakfast fundraiser during the Bell Tower Festival on Saturday, June 10th from 6-10am at the fire station. He tells Raccoon Valley Radio what they will use the proceeds from the raffle towards.

“All the proceeds are used to purchase new equipment that we need. As the newer vehicles change, we have to update the equipment to be able to get people out of car accidents or different kinds of fires.”

Williams adds the drawing for the raffle will be held toward the end of the pancake breakfast and the winners do not need to be present to win.
