The Guthrie County Historical Village and Museum will be holding a fun program this weekend, but are in need of more volunteer help.
The Saving Our Historic Cemeteries program will be held at the Richland Cemetery in Richland Township of Guthrie County, and is designed to educate those interested in protecting, restoring and preserving the historic cemeteries of Guthrie County. Those attending will learn how to clean and repair broken tombstones, headstones and monuments in the cemetery, which is located at the junction of Highways 4 and 141.
The Guthrie County Historical Village and Museum suggests wearing cool, comfortable clothes, a hat for shade and to bring some water to stay hydrated. They also ask that interested individuals register beforehand, so that they have enough supplies and tools for everyone to participate. Message the event page to register, the link for which can be found here.
