The Wildcats played host to the Van Meter Bulldogs last night in varsity doubleheader action. The softball team had some slow games, falling 1-9 in the first game, and 1-6 in the second. The baseball team had similar results, allowing 7 runs in the first inning of the first game, then allowing one run in each of the third and fourth innings, before scoring 2 runs apiece for the 5th and 6th innings, and finishing the first game with a 4-9 loss. In the second game, the Wildcats allowed 5 runs in the first inning, 1 in the second, and another 5 in the third while scoring one of their own. Both teams went scoreless in the fourth inning, before the Bulldogs racked up another 5 runs, and West Central Valley came away with the 1-16 loss.
