
Friday, June 9th
12:59am: While conducting business checks an Officer located an unsecured door in the 1000 block of East Lincoln Way. The Officer checked the property and secured the door.
5:21am: Leland Brown of Jefferson reported a civil dispute over property involving a former employer. The Officer advised him to contact a Civil Law Attorney.
7:59am: An employee with Oly’s Corner reported ongoing issues with a customer harassing staff. The Officer documented the report as requested
12:05pm: Lyn Showman of Jefferson reported a loose dog in the 200 block of East Park Street. The Officer investigated and as a result Royce Gonnelly of Jefferson was issued Citations for “Animal Running at Large” and “Violation of Annual Animal Licensing”.
12:34pm: Ava Jablonski of Jefferson reported a loose dog in the 600 block of South Olive Street. The Officer investigated and as a result Royce Gonnelly of Jefferson was issued Citations for “Animal Running at Large” and “Violation of Annual Animal Licensing”.
1:23pm: An Officer performed a traffic stop on a side-by-side UTV in the 100 block of South Vine Street. As a result of the stop a juvenile male was warned for operating under the age of 16.
1:53pm: Laurie Higgins of Jefferson reported a possible theft from the 200 block of West Adams Street. The Officer investigated and found the situation was a misunderstanding and no theft had occurred.
3:15pm: An employee with Home State Bank made a request for extra patrol in the 100 block of West State Street. The extra patrol was provided.
8:46pm: Jessica McKim of Jefferson reported people ringing her doorbell and running off. The Officer spoke with several juveniles in the area in an effort to correct the issue.
10::29pm: Brian Mobley of Jefferson reported seeing a male possibly carrying a rifle in the 100 block of North Elm Street. Officers and Deputies responded to the location. An Officer located the male and found he had been carrying a BB gun home.
10:43pm: Valarie Levy of Jefferson reported finding empty cans in her backyard. She did not know who had been on her property and requested extra patrol. The Officer provided the increased patrol.
Saturday, June 10th
3:46am: Anthony DeMello of Jefferson reported a house on fire in the 400 block of North Vine Street. The Jefferson Fire Department was dispatched to the scene. The Officer assisted as requested.
7:28am: Josh Halterman of Jefferson reported a loose dog in the 600 block of East Lincoln Way. The Officer picked up the dog and took it to the Jefferson Animal Shelter. As a result of the investigation Royce Gonnelly of Jefferson was issued a Citation for “Animals Running at Large”
8:00am: The Webster County Sheriff’s Office requested a City Officer to assist in making contact with a subject in Jefferson. The Officer was unable to locate the subject.
8:39am: Kimberly Garcia of Jefferson reported finding possibly illegal items on her property which did not belong to her. The Officer responded and removed the items for disposal.
12:21pm: Ashley Spaulding reported a person trespassing on her property. The Officer investigated and found no one trespassing.
8:41pm: Nicole Jordan of Jefferson reported a minor backing accident near the intersection of Locust Street and Lincoln Way. A red “2018” Chrysler Pacifica, belonging to Patrick Warren was legally parked an unoccupied on Lincoln Way near the intersection with Locust Street. A red “2003” Pontiac Sunfire, driven by Dakota Sawhill was parked next to the Pacifica. While backing the Sunfire contacted the Pacifica. Approximately $400 damage was caused to the right quarter panel of the Sunfire. Approximately $600 of damage was caused to the left quarter panel of the Pacifica.
10:20pm: An anonymous caller reported a suspicious person in the 800 block of West Adams Street. The Officer patrolled the area and did not locate the reported person.
Sunday, June 11th
12:20am: While working security for the Bell Tower Festival Officers received several complaints of a disturbance involving two males. The two were separated and removed. The Officer is investigating the situation for possible further action.
10:43am: An anonymous caller reported a deceased cat in the roadway near the intersection of Lincoln Way and Oak Street. The Officer disposed of the carcass.
2:13pm: James Pena of Jefferson reported theft from his residence in the 700 block of Pinet Place. The Officer is investigating.
4:14pm: Greene County Dispatch reported an abandoned 911 call originating from the 1200 block of Riverside Drive. The Officer investigated and found the source of the call. The call was accidental and no assistance was needed.
7:22pm: An anonymous caller reported an erratic driver in a brown passenger car. The caller advised the vehicle had been in the 1400 block of North Elm Street, but was currently parked in a private parking lot. The Officer located the vehicle and witnessed no violations of the law.
7:24pm: Maddie Messina of Jefferson reported a loose dog in the 200 block of South Grimmell Road. The Officer picked up the dog and took it to the City Animal Shelter.
8:31pm: Mariela Torres of Jefferson reported a loose dog in the 800 block of West Harrison Street. The Officer patrolled the area and was unable to locate the dog.
8:54pm: An anonymous caller reported a red Jeep being operated in the 700 block of West State Street. The caller advised the vehicle was being driving in an erratic manner with children who appeared to be unrestrained. The Officer investigated. As a result, Greg Karber of Jefferson was issued citation for Failure to use Child Restraints / seatbelts.
