ADM Tiger Softball

The ADM Varsity softball suffered 4-3 loss at home to the North Polk Comets last night in Adel. This is the only second loss at home this season for the ADM Tigers softball team. The ADM Tigers bats came to life in the bottom of the seventh just came up one run short in the loss. North Polk starting pitcher sophomore Ava Husak kept the ADM bats silenced all night with only allowing four hits. Junior Kaylee Smith lead the ADM Tigers in hits when she went 2-3 with getting a single and double. Freshman Lauren Hagedorn went 1-2 with a double. Sophomore Kennedy Stanford came into pinch hit in the bottom of the 7th inning and went 1-1 with getting a huge double in the game. ADM Tiger freshman starting pitcher Lauren Hagedorn took the loss for her fourth loss of the season and putting her pitching record at 7-4 on the season while giving up four earned runs while striking out seven North Polk Comets batters on the night.

This loss for the ADM Tigers varsity softball team will put them at 18-8 overall record and now 8-4 in the Raccoon River Conference record on the season. The ADM Tiger softball will be right back at it tonight as they will be on the road to take on the Ballard Bombers in a Raccoon River Conference regular season matchup with a 6:00 pm first pitch. The ADM Tiger softball team has had pretty good month in June with having 14 wins and 4 losses and six games left on the season heading into tonight’s game at Ballard. The next ADM Tiger softball broadcast on K107.9 FM – KKRF and www.raccoonvalleyradio.com will be Monday June 26th as they will host host the Bondurant-Farrar Bluejays with a 7:30 pm first pitch.

 

ADM Tiger Baseball

The ADM Tiger baseball team just couldn’t seem to get their bats going in their 1-0 loss on the road last against the North Polk Comets in a Raccoon River Conference regular season matchup. The North Polk Comets got their bats going in the bottom of the first inning when they scored their only run of the game and never looked back after that in the win. North Polk starting pitcher sophomore Hunter Cook pitched most the game and allowed no runs on giving up four hits in the win for the North Polk. The ADM Tigers team was lead in hitting by four of the guys on the top of the batter order. Junior Rhylan Stine-Smith went 1-3 with a single, junior Grant Rychnovsky went 1-3 with a double, senior Sam Holloway went 1-3 with a single and senior Nate Fisher went 1-2 with a single in the game. ADM Tiger sophomore starting pitcher Grant Jansen pitched six innings on the night with allowing one earned run while giving up four hits while striking out eight North Polk batters on the night. This loss for Grant Jansen will put his pitching record to 4-1 on the season.

This loss for the ADM Tigers baseball team will put them at 19-7 overall record and 9-3 Raccoon River Conference record on the season. The ADM Tiger baseball team has 13 wins and 3 losses so far in the month of June. The ADM Tigers baseball team will be right back at it tonight when they take on the Ballard Bombers in a Raccoon River Conference matchup at Nite Hawk Stadium in Slater with a 7:30 pm first pitch. The next ADM Tiger baseball broadcast on K107.9 FM – KKRF and www.raccoonvalleyradio.com will be  June 28th when they travel to Winterset to take on the Winterset Huskies with a 7:30 pm first pitch.
