The People Active for Library Service for the Stuart Public Library are looking for more people to join them.
Member Carol Brewer and Kathy Johnson say that the group does many things, like help organize fundraisers for the library and even just come in in their time off to help the librarians at different times during the day. They tell Raccoon Valley Radio that joining PALS is fairly easy to do.
Brewer: “If you came into the library and just mentioned to the library staff that,”
Johnson: “you’d like to be a part of this.”
Brewer: “Exactly. There’s a form to fill out and it’s not expensive. You can join as short as minimum of $10, and do as you want, as far as your involvement.”
Johnson: “Involvement and money right? It’s up to you, what’s important to you.”
Brewer mentions that coming up in the months of July and August the group will also have a campaign looking for more people to join, so individuals interested in joining can also look for PALS members and ask about the group and get the form to join from them as well.
