The West Central Valley School Board met in regular session Wednesday.

The Board approved personnel changes that included hiring Jim Lindsay as Athletic Director, Tyler Bleckwehl as Assistant Athletic Director, Ryan Bavas as Assistant Facilities Supervisor, Kelly Hammond as Assistant Volleyball Coach and Brian Filloon as a Driver. The personnel changes also included adjustments to Barry Chalfant as a mechanic and changing Jami Sickels’s contract from having her as an assistant volleyball coach to being the head volleyball coach, and the resignation of Jack Glenn as a driver.

The Board then approved updating the schools computer servers, as they were all eight to nine years old, and cutting them from eight servers to four which would leave one in each building. They also approved corrections to the 2023-24 school calendar, handbooks, staff handbooks, student fees, property casualty/worker’s compensation insurance and lighting labor bid. The change in School Resource Officer pay rate was also approved, as it hadn’t been updated since 2019. Starting July 1st, pay rate for the SRO will be $30 an hour.
