The number of days left for the Adair County Fair may be dwindling, but the amount of fun events is not.

Tomorrow will get started with a free 4-H/FFA breakfast at the Foodstand at 7am, sponsored by Agriland FS, then at 8am the dairy/dairy goat show will begin in the swine show ring, while the cat show starts at the gazebo. At 8:30am the junior feeder calf pen show will start, followed by the open fun jackpot horse show at 9.

Breeding heifer, lead cow/calf and feeder calf shows will begin at 9:30am in the Mid-American Arena, with 10am bringing the start of the baby show at the 4-H/FFA Center, formal flower arrangements class with Betty Schultz, hands on farm activities, string nail art and wire bead bracelet Make it and Take it events and quilt show at the Varied Industries Building. Then at 11:30am children will be able to participate in the pedal pull in front of the 4-H/FFA Center.

In the Horse Arena at noon, the Junior and Senior Cowgirl Queen Contest will take place, with the market beef and beef showmanship events beginning in the Mid-American Arena at 12:30pm, and the Blank Park Zoo will present its “Zoo to You” program in the gazebo at 1, while the Iowa Draft Horse Pullers put on their show in the Grandstand. The 4-H communications events will start in the 4-H/FFA Center at 1:30pm, while Gina School teaches the Cottage Flower Make it and Take it at 2 in the Varied Industries Building.

At 4pm, Master Gardener Kelly Stull will give a demonstration in the Varied Industries Building and the Supreme Showmanship Contest for beef, sheep, goats and swine will take place in the Mid-American Arena. The Livestock Judging contest will follow at 5pm, with yard games hosted by the Youth Council and entry for the beard and mullet contest from 6-7:30pm. Results from the beard and mullet contest will be announced at the Grandstand at 7:30, followed by a demolition derby to finish off the day.
