Another big day at the Greene County Fair is tomorrow.

The day begins with the 4-H/FFA Beef and Bucket Calf Show along with the Clover Kids Cattle Show in the show ring at 8am. Greene County ISU Extension 4-H and Youth Coordinator Samantha Hardaway says the beef show is one of the most popular events.

“It’ll be a long morning but that’s alright because we want to encourage those 4-H’ers to continue participating. The beef barn is pretty full this year, so I know that’ll make people really excited. But it’s just really a great opportunity to go support those local 4-H’ers.”

Other highlights for Saturday include the Greene County Farm Bureau Pedal Pull for kids at noon in North Hall and the 4-H/FFA Horse Fun Show in the horse arena, also at noon. A newer activity for kids is from 1-6pm with the Knockerball Inflatables at the shelterhouse, which Greene County Fair Board member Katlynn Mechaelsen says will be a lot of free fun entertainment.

“Some of the games that we will be having will be bungee races, the giant slide will be there, and the climbing wall. Make sure you kiddos get up there, that’s free, and have a good time.”

There will also be bingo in Clover Hall at 2pm, followed by a kickball tournament at the city softball fields at 4pm, sponsored by the Cedar Highland 4-H Club, along with the baby contest for newborns to 3 year olds in Clover Hall at 5:30pm. The evening rounds with the Greene County Pork and Lamb Producers serving a meal in the North Hall at 5:30pm and the grandstand entertainment will be music artists Ashley Barron and Chad Brock. Tickets are $10 per person for the grandstand and those three and younger are free.

Raccoon Valley Radio will be also broadcasting live again tomorrow from 10am-6pm and you can check out the results from the fair by clicking here.
