The Panorama School District’s newest member of the administrative staff is starting to get settled into the area.

Superintendent Kasey Huebner recently oversaw his first school board meeting in the position earlier this month, and mentioned how many of the people he had been interacting with professionally had been greatly helpful. When it comes to settling in residentially, he tells Raccoon Valley Radio what he’s enjoyed as he gets ready for the new school year.

“I think it’s the pride. I think it’s how motivated people are to just provide for our students. I think that everybody’s doing it for the right reasons. Everybody I have met are always willing to help out, which I think that really solidifies the decision of coming here. That’s the type of community that my wife and I wanted to be a part of. And the first impressions are amazing.”

Huebner mentions that he’s looking forward to the school year and what it brings, adding that the start of the year is quickly approaching with August only a couple weeks away. He explains that there may not be a lot of changes as things get started, but he wants to make sure that there is a strong support system in the district for teachers, staff and students. Huebner says he wants to make sure that support helps elevate the experience that the students get in the classroom, in athletics, and anywhere else they may participate.
