It was just announced that current Perry softball head coach Tina Lutterman will be taking on a new position this fall as the head coach of the Perry Boys Cross Country team. Lutterman will be replacing Shaylena Bell who was the coach last year for the Bluejays in Cross Country.

Some of the best performances from the 2022 Perry Boys Cross Country team included a 3rd place finish overall in the Madrid invite last year on September 2nd, a 4th place finish in the Charger Cross Country Invitational at ACGC High School on September 22nd, and another 4th place finish in the Saydel Cross Country Invitational at Saydel High School on October 6th.

The Bluejays will open their 2023 campaign in cross country on August 24th at Gowrie Municipal Golf Course. Southeast Valley, ACGC, Ogden, Manson-NW Webster, and Panorama are among the teams that will be participating at the meet. They then will head to Lakeview Country Club on Tuesday, September 5th for the Winterset Varsity XC meet. Winterset, Des Moines Christian, Van Meter, Ballard, Interstate 35, and Earlham among the participants in that meet.
