Gracie Cooklin and Kaylee Stalder are the only seniors on the Greene County High School volleyball team. Coach Chris Heisterkamp’s Rams will be vying for a third straight winning season after going 16-13 in 2021 and 16-11 last season.
Cooklin is a back row specialist and she was a part of those teams. She talked about being a senior. “It went by so fast, it doesn’t even feel like I’m a senior.” About her role this season, she added, “I think my biggest role this year is going to be helping others and leading others. Kaylee and I both have pretty big leadership roles this year being the only seniors, so our biggest job is going to be to help everybody and encourage everybody.”
The Rams are preparing for the Aug. 22 season opening quadrangular at Dallas Center-Grimes High School vs. DC-G, Mason City, and Ballard (Huxley).
