When Greene County football resumes practicing on Monday it will be in full pads for the first time this season. A lot goes into getting to this point of the season including off-season weight lifting, conditioning, and learning the playbook. Senior captain Jack Hansen says it’s not always exciting, but is necessary. “It definitely does get boring, it’s just the same stuff day in and day out. You’re coming to lifting early in the morning or during your AP class, and then there were a couple of “open fields” and that was pretty fun, I enjoyed that. Off season training does get boring, but you know it’s going to help you in the long run, so you just come in and do it, get it done, work your hardest, and get out.”

Greene Count will host Ogden in a preseason scrimmage this Friday the 18th at Linduska Field. The regular season begins on Aug. 25 at Carroll Athletic Field vs. the Class 3A Carroll High Tigers. All Ram games can be heard on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com.
