With the season set to start next Friday night for the Perry Bluejays against Des Moines Hoover, now is the time to begin a position breakdown for the Bluejays as they are getting ready to start the season. Beginning today with the quarterback position, a couple of names that will be returning for Perry include Drake Levan and Geren Kenney. Both Levan and Kenney were signal callers last season for the Bluejays. Levan only attempted 2 passes and completed 1 of them. Kenney however, was 6/16 on the year and he threw for 39 yards with a touchdown and an interception. He will be returning for his Junior season this year. Caden Heck who graduated last year was one of the main signal callers for the Bluejays as well throughout the course of the 2022 season. He was 8 for 15, and threw for 101 yards. He also had no touchdowns and no interceptions on the year.

There will be a couple new faces as well for Perry behind center as they kick off the 2023 season here in a couple weeks. Perry will take on Woodward-Granger tommorow night in their Gatorade scrimmage at Perry High School.
