The Casey Women’s Club is getting set for a fundraiser.

The organization will be selling baked goods and produce to help raise money to pay for the new pumper truck the fire department recently purchased. The fire truck fundraiser has currently raised almost $4,000 besides the initial payment that was made, and currently $105,000 of the needed $350,000 has been raised.

Corrine Palmer, one of the organizers for the event, tells Raccoon Valley Radio about the excitement that will be in town.

“Aug 26th will be an exciting day for the town of Casey! The C/K Squared Truck Show will be on Main Street from 9am to 3pm. In coordination with this event the Casey Women’s Club has organized a Community Bake & Garden Sale to be held at the community building. All proceeds of the sale will be donated to the Casey Fire Department for the purchase of their new fire truck. Anyone can help by signing up to bring items, help at the sale or make a donation.”

All items intended for sale will need to be delivered to the community building by 8am the day of the sale. All proceeds from the sale will be donated to the Casey Fire Department. For more information, contact Palmer.
