There will be a groundbreaking ceremony for a major project in Adel coming up.

The Dallas County Board of Supervisors have set 9am on August 29th at 818 Court Street to break ground and officially welcome the construction on the new Administration Building. Supervisor Mark Hanson says that this is a $25 million dollar project that will be the new home for county services and departments such as the assessor, treasurer, recorder and Board of Supervisors. Hanson tells Raccoon Valley Radio that the public is welcome to join them for this ceremony.

“It’s a public relations opportunity to kind of talk about the state of government and how things have changed. Dallas County has been a successful county and we’re happy that we’re finally going to get an admin building that is efficient and effective and built for the services we’re expected to provide for the citizens of the county.”

Hanson says that seating and room could potentially be limited at this event.
