Main Street Guthrie Center has started selling tickets for a fun event that is coming up.

The Wine Walk and Beef and Beer Tasting event will be next Friday, August 25th from 5-9pm. Interested individuals will be able to explore local shops and businesses while tasting wine samples and appetizers at all the stops. There is also a bring your own beer trivia night and $5 nacho bar at the Guthrie Center Activity Center after the Wine Walk. Those participating in the trivia night will have a chance to win $200.

Main Street Guthrie Center Director Lindsay Gilland tells Raccoon Valley Radio why they decided to hold the event.

“Main Street Guthrie Center decided to have a Wine Walk and Beef and Beer Tasting so we could help promote and support our local businesses. We use this as an opportunity for our community to come out and shop some of our businesses, and we also decided this year to include Guthrie County Quality Meats, as they kind of had an idea to help our community members back out into our local businesses.”

Advance tickets for the event are available at Pearls and Lace Country Boutique, Panora Fiber and Art on State Street for $20, but tickets will also be available for purchase the day of the event for $25. The ticket price includes a glass, the tastings, a map of the event, a $5 off store purchase and entry into the trivia event. To see a breakdown of the schedule, visit this link.
